Are you wanting to host an event at one of our park locations? We have several spaces for hosting 5K's to birthday parties. Do you have a group that would like a garden tour or educational programming provided by us? Then contact us to request a Special Use Permit and schedule your event. All organized events MUST have a Special Use Permit, all participants must sign a waiver and release form and follow MVPD Rules and Regulations. Photographers need to follow the same rules, but do not need a permit for private sessions, prom, homecoming, graduation, or photographing the natural flora and fauna.

Mission Oaks Gardens (MOG) and Gale Garden offer a serene and picturesque atmosphere for your outdoor wedding. Listed below are locations throughout the park district that are available for reservation. A signed agreement and special use permit is required. Please note that all park locations are open to the public dawn to dusk.
Nestled in the northwest corner of Mission Oaks Gardens is a rustic gazebo embellished with a plethora of rare perennials. This beautiful venue features blooming plants with changing colors throughout the year. Due to the narrow paths, guests are limited to 20 individuals – including the wedding party. Cost is $250.00
This quaint, fenced area of the garden gives focus to one of the largest yellow buckeye trees in our area, offering ample shade for your guests during a mid-summer wedding. This venue is handicap accessible and guests are limited to 30 individuals. Cost is $250.00
Overlooking the perpetual beauty of the Conifer Garden, this stone terraced seating area can accommodate up to 50 guests and is handicap accessible. When reserving in late summer, this venue’s bright, sunny location is best suited for morning and evening weddings. The only location with seating provided. Cost is $350.00
The Conifer Garden features a stunning backdrop of color and texture depending on the date of your reservation. Rare conifers are complemented by an enchanting waterfall. During mid to late summer, the water garden is adorned with exotic floating lotus pads with majestic pink blooms. The Conifer Garden can accommodate 50 guests. Some individuals may find it difficult to complete the journey to this location. Cost is $350.00
For a more private location, hidden in the McIntire Historical District is a shady one-acre fenced garden surrounded by beds filled with trees, flowering shrubs, and shade loving perennials. This adorable garden is reminiscent of the famed gardens of Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina. Gale Garden can accommodate 50 guests. Cost is $350.00

This 1500 square foot indoor space offers seating for 35 guests. MVPD provides the venue, tables, and chairs. There are 27-18”x60” tables. The inside space offers two bathrooms, a caterer’s kitchen (no stovetop, but two ovens), dishwasher, and projector capability. Ample off-street parking with a handicap space. Reservations are for one day for setup, event, and breakdown unless prior arrangements are made. Only one rental offered per weekend. Cost is $125. Located at 496 Pitman Street in Zanesville.
